Ingredients
Scale
1 ½ lbs ground beef or turkey
1 medium onion, diced
4 cups chopped green cabbage
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (undrained)
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup uncooked white rice
2 cups beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Brown the Meat: In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion until browned — this adds bold flavor and gives you a hearty dinner base. Drain excess grease.
Layer in the Slow Cooker: Add chopped cabbage, garlic, uncooked rice, and cooked beef mixture to the slow cooker. It’s the perfect easy dump-and-go meal for busy nights!
Add Liquids & Seasoning: Pour in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together for that slow-cooked flavor bomb.
Cook It Low & Slow: Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours. The rice will absorb the broth and the cabbage gets perfectly tender — comfort food magic!
Finish & Serve: Give it a final stir and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. This dish is hearty, cozy, and absolutely satisfying every single time.
