- 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skin removed, cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/4 cup honey (for the glaze)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (for the glaze)
- 1 tbsp sriracha (or to taste, for the glaze)
- 1 tsp rice vinegar or lime juice (for the glaze)
- 1 tsp sesame oil (for the glaze)
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional, for the glaze)
- Chopped parsley or green onion (for garnish)
- Toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Pat salmon dry, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Dip in flour, then egg, then panko.
- Heat oil in a skillet and fry salmon cubes until deeply golden and crunchy.
- In a small pan, combine honey, soy sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Simmer 2–3 minutes until thick and sticky.
- Add crispy salmon to the glaze, gently tossing to coat.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped parsley or green onions. Serve with rice, noodles, or enjoy as-is.
Notes
- Adjust sriracha to taste for desired spice level.
- For extra crunch, double dip the salmon bites in egg and panko.
- Can be served as an appetizer or main dish.
