A delicious recipe for sticky garlic glazed lamb shanks served with crispy roasted potatoes, perfect for a comforting family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 lamb shanks
  • 500g potatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • Salt & black pepper

Instructions

  1. Season lamb shanks with salt and pepper, then sear in olive oil until browned on all sides.
  2. Remove lamb and sauté onion, then add garlic and cook briefly.
  3. Stir in tomato paste, spices, soy sauce, honey, and beef broth.
  4. Return lamb to the pot, cover, and cook on low heat for 2–3 hours until tender.
  5. Uncover and simmer until the sauce thickens into a sticky glaze.
  6. Toss potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  7. Roast at 200°C for 30–40 minutes until golden and crispy.
  8. Serve lamb over potatoes and spoon the sticky garlic sauce on top.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the lamb shanks overnight.
  • Adjust the amount of honey for desired sweetness.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
