A quick and bold stir-fry featuring minced meat and potatoes, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 lb ground beef or pork
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 23 red chilies, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil the diced potatoes for 6–7 minutes until just fork-tender.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and cook the ground meat until browned and crumbled. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Push meat to the side and add the remaining oil. Toss in garlic, red chilies, and chopped green peppers. Sauté for 2–3 mins.
  4. Toss in the boiled potatoes and pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and hoisin. Stir-fry 4–5 mins until everything is coated and golden.
  5. Finish with fresh green onions and serve hot.

Notes

  • Par-cooking the potatoes ensures a crispy-on-the-outside, fluffy-inside texture.
  • Adjust chili flakes for extra heat if desired.
