Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 lbs flank or sirloin steak, sliced into strips
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges for garnish
  • Extra chili flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat steak strips dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
  3. Sear steak in batches 1–2 minutes per side until browned but still tender. Remove and set aside.
  4. Lower heat to medium. Add butter and garlic. Sauté 30 seconds until fragrant (don’t burn garlic).
  5. Pour in beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire, honey, and lemon juice. Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Return steak to pan and toss in sauce. Simmer 1–2 minutes to coat well.
  7. Sprinkle generously with chopped parsley and chili flakes.
  8. Serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing over the top.

Notes

  • Slice steak against the grain for tenderness
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan while searing
  • Use cast iron for best caramelization
  • Add a splash of cream for a richer sauce
