Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup lump crab meat (fully cooked)
  • 12 large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha or spicy mayo
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1½ cups panko breadcrumbs
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine crab meat, mozzarella, cream cheese, Sriracha, green onions, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Butterfly the shrimp without cutting all the way through and fill each with a spoonful of the spicy crab mix.
  3. Wrap each shrimp around the filling, forming a tight ball, and freeze for 15 minutes.
  4. Roll each ball in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F and fry the shrimp bombs until golden brown (about 3–4 minutes). Drain on paper towels.

Notes

  • Ensure the oil is hot enough for frying to achieve a crispy texture.
  • Feel free to adjust the spice level by adding more or less Sriracha.
  • These can be made ahead of time and frozen before frying.
