Crispy shrimp puffs with creamy cheese filling, perfect as a party appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb small shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts or empanada dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine shrimp, cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, Old Bay, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Cut dough into circles, spoon filling in the center, brush edges with egg, fold, and seal with a fork.
  3. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry puffs for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  5. Serve warm with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Best served fresh.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Use sweet chili sauce or aioli for dipping.
