- 1 lb linguine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Freshly grated Parmesan, for topping
- Boil the Pasta: Cook linguine in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, then drain.
- Sear the Shrimp: In a hot skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter with olive oil. Add shrimp and cook 1-2 mins per side until pink and juicy.
- Sauté Garlic & Zest: Add remaining butter, garlic, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Toss It Together: Add drained pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Pour in lemon juice and splash in pasta water as needed. Toss everything together.
- Finish & Serve: Season with salt, pepper, and parsley. Top with Parmesan.

- For extra heat, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
