Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ small onion, finely chopped
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup seafood or chicken stock
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • Salt & cracked black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Crusty bread, for serving

Instructions

  1. Sear the Seafood: In a skillet, melt butter and sear shrimp until pink and just cooked. Add chopped lobster meat and cook for 1–2 minutes more. Set aside.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: In the same pan, add a bit more butter if needed. Cook onions and garlic until soft and fragrant.
  3. Build the Creamy Broth: Pour in cream and stock. Stir in paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Simmer gently for 5–7 minutes until thickened.
  4. Add Seafood Back In: Return shrimp and lobster to the pan. Add parsley and lemon juice. Simmer 2 more minutes until everything’s heated through.
  5. Serve & Savor: Ladle into bowls and garnish with extra parsley and cracked pepper. Serve with crusty bread for dipping.
