A luxurious creamy soup that’s pure seafood comfort in a bowl!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 1/2 cup carrot, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups seafood stock (or chicken broth)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine (optional)
  • 1/2 lb cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1/2 lb cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 1/2 lb lump crab meat
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil. Add onion, celery, carrot, and garlic. Cook 4–5 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  2. Stir in tomato paste and flour to coat the veggies—cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Slowly whisk in white wine and seafood stock. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10–12 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, Old Bay, salt, and pepper. Add the shrimp, lobster, and crab. Let simmer for another 5 minutes.
  5. Ladle into bowls, garnish with parsley, and serve with crusty bread.

Notes

  • This bisque can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
  • Feel free to adjust the seafood types based on your preference.
  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
