1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
3 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
2–3 tablespoons milk or cream (for frosting)
Red & white fondant (for decorations)
Mini red candies (nose)
Mini chocolate chips or candy eyes
Red sprinkles
Instructions
Make cupcakes — Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix in dry ingredients alternately with milk. Bake for 18–20 minutes at 350°F. Cool fully.
Make frosting — Beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar. Add vanilla and milk to achieve piping texture. Pipe tall swirls onto cooled cupcakes.
Decorate Santa — Shape mini fondant hats, then add a red candy nose, chocolate chip or candy eyes, and a mustache using fondant or frosting. Finish with red sprinkles.
