A simple and addictive sweet and salty dessert made with Ritz crackers, toffee, and chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts, optional)
  • Flaky sea salt (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange Ritz crackers in a single layer.
  2. Melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan, bring to a rolling boil, and cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Pour hot toffee evenly over crackers and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee, let sit for 2 minutes, then spread smooth.
  5. Sprinkle nuts and flaky salt, chill until firm, then break into pieces.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • For a nut-free version, omit the chopped nuts.
  • Use dark or milk chocolate chips for variation.
