Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional, for extra gooeyness)
  • 1½ cups fresh raspberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×9” pan. In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla until glossy.
  2. Let mixture cool slightly, then beat in eggs one at a time.
  3. In a bowl, whisk flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
  4. Pour half the batter into the pan, gently press in half the raspberries. Add remaining batter on top, then scatter the rest of the berries.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes until the top is shiny and slightly crackly. Let cool completely before slicing.

Notes

  • For an extra fudgy texture, do not overmix the batter.
  • Ensure the brownies are completely cool before cutting to maintain their shape.
  • These brownies can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
