2 sheets puff pastry (thawed)
100g basil pesto
120g shredded mozzarella
Instructions
Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Place one puff pastry sheet on parchment paper. Spread pesto evenly and sprinkle mozzarella on top. Cover with the second sheet.
Cut into a large triangle shape. Twist side strips to form branches. Use pastry scraps to cut a small star for the top.
Brush with beaten egg and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and puffed.
Garnish with pomegranate seeds or cherry tomatoes and fresh rosemary for festive flair.
