Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli is a gooey, meaty delight that is perfect for game day gatherings. This easy-to-make recipe combines the flavors of a classic cheesesteak wrapped in pizza dough for a crowd-pleasing snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade if you’re fancy!)
  • 1/2 lb shaved ribeye steak or thinly sliced beef
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup mushrooms, optional
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup provolone cheese, sliced or shredded
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 egg, beaten (for brushing)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook onions, peppers, and mushrooms (if using) until softened. Add shaved steak and season with garlic powder and Italian herbs. Cook until browned.
  2. Roll out pizza dough into a large rectangle on parchment. Pile the steak mix down the center, layer with mozzarella and provolone.
  3. Fold the sides over the filling, tuck and roll it up tight like a burrito. Seal edges. Transfer to a baking sheet.
  4. Brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with extra Italian seasoning. Bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Let rest 5 minutes, then slice and garnish with parsley. Serve with warm marinara or ranch dip.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the filling.
  • Can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • Serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
