Ingredients
Scale
1 large green cabbage, cut into thick rounds (about 1-inch)
1 lb ground beef (80/20 for max flavor)
1 egg
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for keto)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt & black pepper to taste
Olive oil for brushing
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Prep the Cabbage Base: Slice cabbage into thick rounds and lay them on a greased baking tray. Brush lightly with olive oil, season with salt and pepper.
Make the Burger Mix: In a bowl, combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs (or almond flour), chopped onion, minced garlic, and all spices.
Shape & Top the Cabbage: Form thick burger patties and press one onto each cabbage round.
Add Cheese & Bake: Sprinkle mozzarella, cheddar, and a little Parmesan over each patty. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30–35 minutes until golden, cheesy, and melty.
Garnish & Serve: Remove from oven, sprinkle chopped parsley for that fresh finish.
Notes
For a keto version, use almond flour instead of breadcrumbs.
Feel free to customize the spices to your taste.
These burgers can be served with a side salad for a complete meal.
