Golden lump crab cakes that are crispy, buttery, and packed with flavor—the ultimate seafood dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lump crab meat (pick through for shells)
  • 1/3 cup mayo
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 cup finely diced red bell pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp olive oil (for pan-frying)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Mix the mayo, egg, mustard, Worcestershire, Old Bay, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Stir in bell pepper and parsley.
  2. Gently fold in crab meat and panko until just combined.
  3. Form into patties and chill for 20–30 mins.
  4. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet. Sear crab cakes 3–4 mins per side until golden and crispy.
  5. Serve hot with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Do not overmix to keep the crab cakes chunky.
  • Chilling helps the patties hold their shape.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture.
