Ingredients
Scale
8 sheets of filo pastry
1/3 cup melted unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups cooked lobster meat, chopped
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons cream cheese
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
1 garlic clove, minced
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 egg, beaten (for sealing and brushing)
Sesame seeds and chopped chives for garnish
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the lobster meat, mozzarella, cheddar, cream cheese, green onions, and minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper to your preference. Mix until everything is well combined.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lay one sheet of filo pastry on a clean surface and brush lightly with melted butter. Layer another filo sheet on top and repeat until you have 4 layers stacked. Spoon half the lobster mixture along the long edge, leaving some space at the border. Roll the filo gently into a log, tucking in the edges as you go to seal the filling. Repeat with the remaining filo and filling to create a second roll. Brush both rolls with beaten egg, then sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped chives.
Place the rolls on a lined baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Let them cool slightly before slicing into thick pieces.
Notes
Serve with a lemony garlic yogurt dip.
Pair with a fresh herb salad or tomato relish.
Excellent for brunch, party platters, or seafood dinners.
Keep filo pastry covered with a damp cloth to prevent drying.
Don’t overfill to avoid tearing during rolling.
These freeze beautifully before baking — just thaw and bake when ready.
