1 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 cup cake flour
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips or chunks
1 cup walnut halves or large pieces
Instructions
Cream Butter & Sugar Like a Pro: In a stand mixer, beat cold cubed butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy.
Add Eggs for Rich Cookie Dough: Beat in the eggs one at a time.
Flour Power + Perfect Rise: Mix in cake flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
Chunk It Up: Fold in big chocolate chips and walnut pieces.
Bake for that Bakery-Level Finish: Scoop into 4 large dough balls, place on a lined tray, and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 9–11 minutes.
Notes
For best results, use cold butter.
Don’t overmix the dough to maintain the thick texture.
