Ingredients
Scale
1 lb thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin works best)
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tbsp sesame seeds
2 cups cooked jasmine or sushi rice
1 avocado, sliced
1/2 cup julienned carrots
1/2 cup sliced cucumber
1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced
Toasted nori (seaweed), cut into strips
Optional: gochujang drizzle or spicy mayo for that extra bold bite
Instructions
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, vinegar, and red pepper. Add sliced beef, toss to coat, and marinate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook marinated beef in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until caramelized.
In each serving bowl, spoon fluffy rice as your base. Layer on seared beef, avocado slices, crunchy carrots, and fresh cucumber.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds, green onions, and strips of toasted seaweed. Finish with a drizzle of gochujang or spicy mayo.
Serve warm and enjoy every bite of this loaded rice stack.
Notes
For best flavor, marinate the beef for at least 1 hour.
