Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line two 8-inch cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in lime zest, lime juice, and vanilla.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing just until combined.

  7. For frosting, beat butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, then lime zest and juice. Add cream as needed for smooth consistency.
  8. Frost cake generously, pipe decorative swirls on top, and add subtle green accents if desired.
  9. Garnish with fresh lime slices before serving.
