Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional for thick sauce)
  • 1 tbsp water (for slurry)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or cilantro
  • Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp in honey, soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side.
  3. Pour in leftover marinade and simmer for 2–3 minutes. For a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch and water, then stir into the skillet.
  4. Sprinkle in red pepper flakes and sesame seeds, stirring to coat the shrimp.
