- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 3 tbsp honey
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional for thick sauce)
- 1 tbsp water (for slurry)
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or cilantro
- Lime wedges (for serving)
- Marinate the shrimp in honey, soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil for 15–20 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side.
- Pour in leftover marinade and simmer for 2–3 minutes. For a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch and water, then stir into the skillet.
- Sprinkle in red pepper flakes and sesame seeds, stirring to coat the shrimp.
- Garnish with parsley or cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
Notes
- Adjust red pepper flakes for more or less heat.
- Use cornstarch slurry for a thicker glaze if desired.
- Fresh lime juice enhances the flavor.
