Sticky, juicy, sweet-garlicky and irresistibly glazed honey garlic chicken meatballs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for searing)
  • 1/3 cup honey (for glaze)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (for glaze)
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 1 tablespoon water (slurry for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, paprika, and parsley. Mix gently.
  2. Form into evenly sized meatballs (about 1 ½ inches).
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear meatballs 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  5. Add honey and soy sauce. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
  6. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens and turns glossy.
  7. Return meatballs to the pan and spoon glaze over until beautifully coated.
  8. Sprinkle with parsley and red pepper flakes before serving.

Notes

  • Don’t overmix the meat for tender meatballs.
  • Let them brown well before flipping.
  • Add a splash of lemon juice for brightness.
