- 500g ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced thin
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, cubed
- 4 burger buns, toasted
- Optional: extra bell pepper slices for crunch
- In a large skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil and sauté onion until soft and translucent.
- Add garlic and green pepper, cook for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the ground beef, breaking it apart while browning. Cook until fully done and no longer pink.
- Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, soy sauce, brown sugar, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 8-10 minutes until thick and saucy.
