Ingredients
Scale
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
½ cup cream cheese, softened
1 tbsp honey
¼ tsp vanilla extract
½ cup whole berry cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Fresh thyme leaves, for garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut into 3-inch circles using a cookie cutter or glass. Score a smaller circle inside each round (don’t cut through completely). Place on the baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk together cream cheese, honey, and vanilla until silky smooth. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of the mixture into the center of each pastry round, staying within the inner circle.
Top each with a small spoonful of cranberry sauce. Brush the pastry edges with beaten egg for that perfect glossy, golden finish.
Bake for 15–18 minutes, until puffed and beautifully golden. Remove from oven, cool slightly, and garnish with a few fresh thyme leaves for an aromatic touch.
Notes
Swap cranberry for raspberry jam for a sweeter twist.
Use puff pastry shells for a more voluminous presentation.
Add a pinch of orange zest to the cream cheese for an extra festive note.
