Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ head of green cabbage, chopped
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large soup pot, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onions, garlic, carrots, and celery to the pot. Sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in cabbage, diced tomatoes, broth, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until cabbage is tender.
  5. Ladle into bowls, garnish with parsley, and serve with toasted bread.
