A delicious and healthy Greek Turkey Burger recipe featuring juicy turkey patties topped with homemade tzatziki sauce and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey (preferably 93% lean)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 cup arugula or baby spinach
  • 4 slices of tomato
  • 4 slices of red onion
  • Optional: fresh dill sprigs for garnish
  • For the Tzatziki Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the Tzatziki Sauce: In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, and dill. Add salt and pepper to taste. Chill in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  2. Mix the Turkey Patty Blend: Combine ground turkey, minced garlic, diced onion, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Shape & Cook the Patties: Form into 4 equal patties. Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan and cook patties over medium heat for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked.
  4. Build the Burger Stack: Toast the buns lightly, spread a thick layer of chilled tzatziki on the bottom, add fresh arugula, the turkey patty, sliced tomato, red onion, and top bun.
  5. Serve & Garnish: Garnish with a bit of extra tzatziki or fresh dill. Serve with sweet potato fries or a crisp side salad.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the turkey mixture sit for a few minutes before cooking.
