Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Mix in the egg, molasses, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking soda, spices, and salt, then combine with the wet ingredients.
  4. Roll dough balls in sugar, bake until puffy, then press a chocolate kiss into the center.
  5. Drizzle with melted chocolate if desired.
