Creamy Garlic Shrimp Stuffed Shells is a family dinner favorite with bubbly, cheesy goodness. This dish combines jumbo pasta shells stuffed with a rich shrimp and ricotta filling, baked in a velvety garlic cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled, cooked, and chopped
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded (plus extra for topping)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the jumbo pasta shells until al dente, then drain and rinse with cool water.
  2. In a bowl, mix ricotta, 1½ cups mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, shrimp, half the parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Melt butter in a saucepan, sauté garlic, whisk in flour, then gradually add heavy cream and milk. Stir in Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer until smooth.
  4. Spread a layer of sauce in a baking dish. Fill shells with shrimp mixture, arrange in the dish, and spoon remaining sauce on top. Sprinkle with extra mozzarella.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbly. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor.
  • Do not overcook the pasta shells—they should be slightly firm before baking.
  • Let the dish rest for 5 minutes after baking for easier serving.
