Ingredients
Scale
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
1/2 cup shredded Gruyère or Parmesan
1/4 cup cream cheese
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt & black pepper to taste
1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped onion, sauté until soft and fragrant.
Stir in heavy cream, cream cheese, and paprika. Simmer the mixture until slightly thickened.
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes, or until they turn pink.
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle mozzarella and Gruyère (or Parmesan) cheese on top.
Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with toasted baguette, rice, or pasta.
Notes
Use fresh or frozen shrimp, but ensure they are fully thawed before cooking.
Gruyère adds a nutty flavor, but Parmesan works well too.
Adjust garlic and paprika to taste for a spicier or milder profile.
