- 2 ribeye or filet mignon steaks (about 200–250 g each)
- 12 large shrimp, peeled & deveined
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 3 cups potatoes, peeled & cubed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup warm milk or cream
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for peppers)
- Season steaks generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a hot skillet over high heat. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and rest.
- In the same pan, add shrimp with a pinch of salt and pepper. Sear 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove.
- Lower heat to medium. Melt butter, add garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire, and Dijon. Simmer 3–4 minutes until glossy and slightly thick.
- (Optional) Sauté peppers quickly in olive oil and add to the sauce.
- Boil potatoes until tender. Mash with butter, warm milk, salt, and pepper until creamy.
- Plate mashed potatoes, top with steak, shrimp, and spoon over the garlic butter sauce.
- Finish with fresh parsley.
Notes
- Let steak rest 5 minutes before slicing.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan for a perfect sear.
- Add a splash of cream to the sauce for extra indulgence.
