A luxurious recipe featuring juicy, buttery steak paired with perfectly seared shrimp in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye or filet mignon steaks (about 200250 g each)
  • 12 large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 3 cups potatoes, peeled & cubed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup warm milk or cream
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for peppers)

Instructions

  1. Season steaks generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a hot skillet over high heat. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and rest.
  3. In the same pan, add shrimp with a pinch of salt and pepper. Sear 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove.
  4. Lower heat to medium. Melt butter, add garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire, and Dijon. Simmer 3–4 minutes until glossy and slightly thick.
  6. (Optional) Sauté peppers quickly in olive oil and add to the sauce.
  7. Boil potatoes until tender. Mash with butter, warm milk, salt, and pepper until creamy.
  8. Plate mashed potatoes, top with steak, shrimp, and spoon over the garlic butter sauce.
  9. Finish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Let steak rest 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan for a perfect sear.
  • Add a splash of cream to the sauce for extra indulgence.
