A delicious and easy pan-seared steak recipe with a bold garlic butter sauce, perfect for a weeknight comfort food meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs sirloin or ribeye steak, sliced into strips
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup beef broth (or water)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat with a drizzle of oil. Sear steak strips 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
  2. Lower heat and add butter, garlic, red pepper flakes, and herbs. Stir for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping the pan to lift up flavor-packed bits. Simmer 3–5 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  4. Return the seared steak to the skillet and toss in the sauce for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Garnish with chopped parsley and a squeeze of lemon. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or over noodles.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, increase the amount of crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Pair with your favorite side dishes for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
