- 1.5 lbs sirloin or ribeye steak, sliced into strips
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ cup beef broth (or water)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and cracked black pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat with a drizzle of oil. Sear steak strips 2–3 minutes per side until browned.
- Lower heat and add butter, garlic, red pepper flakes, and herbs. Stir for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping the pan to lift up flavor-packed bits. Simmer 3–5 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Return the seared steak to the skillet and toss in the sauce for 1–2 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and a squeeze of lemon. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or over noodles.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, increase the amount of crushed red pepper flakes.
- Pair with your favorite side dishes for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
