- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup chicken or seafood broth
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Salt & freshly cracked black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
- 2 cups cooked white rice (jasmine or basmati preferred)
- Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Sear until pink and juicy.
- Remove shrimp and lower heat. Add remaining butter and minced garlic, cooking for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in broth and heavy cream.
- Stir in Parmesan and let the sauce thicken slightly, about 2–3 minutes. Adjust seasoning with more salt and cracked pepper.
- Toss shrimp back into the skillet, coating each piece in the garlic butter sauce. Let it simmer for 1–2 minutes.
- Spoon shrimp and sauce over fluffy white rice. Garnish with fresh parsley and an extra crack of pepper.
