A steakhouse-worthy seafood dinner featuring garlic butter lobster tails and perfectly seared scallops. Simple ingredients create an elegant meal perfect for date nights or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lobster tails
  • 1 lb large sea scallops, patted dry
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the seafood by cutting the lobster shells lengthwise and lifting the meat over the shells. Pat the scallops dry and season both with paprika, Old Bay, salt, and pepper.
  2. Sear the scallops in olive oil over medium-high heat for 2–3 minutes per side until golden. Remove and keep warm.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add lobster tails shell-side down, spooning garlic butter over the meat. Cook for 5–7 minutes until opaque.
  4. Stir lemon juice, Italian seasoning, and parsley into the remaining butter sauce. Return scallops to the pan for 1 minute to coat in the sauce.
  5. Plate the lobster and scallops, drizzle with garlic butter sauce, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Pat scallops dry thoroughly for a better sear.
  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
