Ingredients
Scale
2 filet mignon steaks (6 oz each)
Salt & cracked black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 garlic cloves, smashed
1 sprig rosemary or thyme
8–10 shrimp, peeled & deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
Salt & pepper
Juice of ½ lemon
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley
1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
Let steaks reach room temperature. Season generously with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a skillet on medium-high. Sear 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, flipping once. During the last minute, add butter, smashed garlic, and rosemary. Spoon the aromatic butter over the steaks continuously. Rest on a plate.
In the same skillet, add oil and minced garlic; cook 30 seconds. Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Squeeze lemon juice and add parsley. Set aside.
Melt butter in a small pan. Add garlic, cook 1 minute. Stir in parsley and lemon juice.
Place steak on a plate. Top with shrimp. Drizzle garlic herb butter sauce over everything. Serve immediately.
Notes
Rest the steak for 5 minutes to keep juices inside.
