Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs flank steak or skirt steak
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: ½ tsp red chili flakes for extra heat
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat steak dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over high heat. Sear steak 3–4 minutes per side until golden-brown.
  3. Remove steak and let it rest for 5–10 minutes. Slice thinly against the grain.
  4. In the same skillet, lower heat and melt butter. Add garlic and sauté until golden brown.
  5. Drizzle garlic butter over the sliced steak, sprinkle with parsley, and serve with lime wedges.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add red chili flakes to the garlic butter.
  • Letting the steak rest is crucial for tenderness.
  • Serve with a side salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
