A cheesy garlic bread sandwich that combines crispy grilled cheese with bold garlic flavors for an ultimate comfort food experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices thick-cut Italian or sourdough bread
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Make the garlic butter spread by mixing softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, Parmesan, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Spread the garlic butter generously on one side of each bread slice.
  3. Flip the slices and pile mozzarella and cheddar onto the unbuttered sides. Top with another slice, buttered side facing out.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-low and cook sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese melts.
  5. Let rest for 1–2 minutes, then slice and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • Press lightly with a spatula for extra crispiness.
  • Let the sandwich rest before slicing to prevent cheese from spilling out.
