- 4 slices thick-cut Italian or sourdough bread
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
- Pinch of salt
- Make the garlic butter spread by mixing softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, Parmesan, and a pinch of salt.
- Spread the garlic butter generously on one side of each bread slice.
- Flip the slices and pile mozzarella and cheddar onto the unbuttered sides. Top with another slice, buttered side facing out.
- Heat a skillet over medium-low and cook sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese melts.
- Let rest for 1–2 minutes, then slice and serve hot.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
- Press lightly with a spatula for extra crispiness.
- Let the sandwich rest before slicing to prevent cheese from spilling out.
