  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk or heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  2. Mix in flour, baking powder, and salt until thick, spreadable dough forms.
  3. Press dough into greased 9×13-inch dish. Bake at 350°F for 20-24 minutes. Cool completely.
  4. Beat butter until creamy. Add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Mix until fluffy.
  5. Spread frosting over cooled cookie base. Top with sprinkles. Chill slightly before slicing.
