Crispy outside, melt-in-your-mouth inside, these fried milk cubes are drizzled with honey and sprinkled with cinnamon, making for a delightful dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • ¼ cup cornstarch + extra ½ cup for coating
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Oil for frying
  • Cinnamon, powdered sugar & warm honey for serving

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, whisk milk, cornstarch, sugar, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon over medium heat until thick and smooth (8–10 minutes). Stir in butter.
  2. Pour into a parchment-lined 8×8″ pan. Cool, then refrigerate 3 hours until firm.
  3. Cut into cubes and coat lightly with cornstarch.
  4. Fry in hot oil until golden on all sides; drain on paper towels.
  5. Dust with cinnamon and powdered sugar, then drizzle with honey before serving.

Notes

  • Chill the milk mixture fully before cutting.
  • Keep oil medium-hot to avoid sogginess.
  • Dust right before serving for crisp perfection.
