A creamy, cinnamon-sweet dessert that combines the flavors of churros and cheesecake, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tubes crescent roll dough
  • 2 packs (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup butter, melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • Caramel sauce (for drizzling)
  • Fresh strawberries, sliced (for topping)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Unroll one tube of crescent dough and press it into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, sealing any seams.
  2. In a bowl, beat together cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Spread evenly over the dough layer.
  3. Unroll the second crescent dough and carefully place it over the cream cheese filling, sealing the seams again.
  4. Brush the top layer with melted butter. In a small bowl, mix ½ cup sugar and 1 tbsp cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the buttered surface.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes, until golden brown and slightly puffed. Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set fully.
  6. Cut into squares. Drizzle with caramel sauce, top with fresh strawberries, and dust lightly with powdered sugar.

Notes

  • Add a pinch of nutmeg for deeper churro flavor.
  • Swap strawberries for raspberries or banana slices for variety.
  • Serve slightly warm for that gooey, creamy contrast!
