Crispy Shrimp Cheese Balls are an irresistible snack, combining gooey, melty cheese with shrimp for a delicious treat.

Ingredients

  • 250g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying
  • Fresh chopped chives, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Finely chop half the shrimp, and leave the rest whole.
  2. In a bowl, combine chopped shrimp, mozzarella, cream cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy and sticky.
  3. Take a spoonful of the mixture, press a whole shrimp in the center, and form a ball around it.
  4. Roll each ball in flour, dip in egg, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan. Fry the balls until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels. Garnish with fresh chives and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
