A delicious creamy Tuscan chicken skillet recipe featuring chicken breasts cooked in a rich garlic cream sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, and parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup artichoke hearts, chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until deeply golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant and softened.
  4. Add sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts, stirring for 2 minutes to release their flavor.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir gently and bring to a light simmer.
  6. Add parmesan cheese and fresh spinach. Stir until the spinach wilts and the sauce becomes creamy and rich.
  7. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top. Simmer for 3-4 minutes to blend all the flavors beautifully.
  8. Finish with fresh parsley before serving hot.

Notes

  • Serve with a creamy garlic herb dressing or a light lemon parmesan drizzle for extra flavor.
  • Pair with mashed potatoes, pasta, rice, or roasted vegetables.
  • Use freshly grated parmesan for the smoothest creamy sauce.
  • Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before slicing to keep it tender and juicy.
  • Replace heavy cream with light cream or coconut cream for a lighter option.
  • Add mushrooms or zucchini for extra vegetables and texture.
  • This recipe is naturally gluten-free and perfect for a hearty low-carb dinner.
