  • lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cups sweet corn kernels (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups chicken or seafood broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Sauté the vegetables in butter and olive oil until tender.
  2. Sprinkle flour over the vegetables and stir. Gradually whisk in broth, cream, and milk.
  3. Add corn and seasonings. Simmer for 10–12 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Add shrimp and cook for 3–4 minutes until pink and tender.
  5. Stir in lemon juice and parsley. Serve hot with crusty bread.
