Ingredients
Scale
4 beef steaks
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
Pat the steaks dry and season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 3-5 minutes per side depending on your preferred doneness. Remove and let rest.
In the same skillet, sauté sliced mushrooms until golden and tender. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in beef broth and let it simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and Italian seasoning, cooking until the sauce becomes rich and silky.
Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the creamy mushroom sauce generously over the top. Simmer for 2-3 minutes to blend all the flavors beautifully.
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, rice, or buttery pasta.
Notes
Let the steaks rest before slicing to keep them juicy and tender.
Use a hot skillet to create a flavorful golden crust on the meat.
Swap heavy cream with light cream or blended cottage cheese for a lighter sauce.
