A comfort food dream loaded with creamy, buttery flavor magic, featuring shrimp in a rich garlic sauce served over mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or seafood broth)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 2 lbs potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop potatoes. Boil until fork-tender, then mash with butter, cream, and salt.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter and cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic, sauté for 30 seconds, then pour in cream and broth. Stir in Parmesan, paprika, and simmer until thickened.
  4. Return shrimp to the skillet, coat in the sauce, and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
  5. Spoon mashed potatoes onto plates and pile shrimp and sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley.

  • Feel free to adjust the seasoning to your taste.
  • For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
