Creamy Garlic Butter Salmon is a gourmet comfort meal that combines succulent salmon fillets with a rich and creamy garlic butter sauce, complemented by spinach and mushrooms.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (cremini or button)
  • 3 cups baby spinach
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh chives or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season salmon generously with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon fillets, skin-side down first, for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  2. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt the butter. Add garlic and sliced mushrooms, cooking for 3–4 minutes until tender and fragrant.
  3. Toss in the spinach and cook until just wilted, about 1–2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, stir in parmesan, and add red pepper flakes if desired. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return salmon fillets to the pan, spoon the creamy sauce over the top, and simmer for another 2–3 minutes to heat through. Garnish with chives or parsley.

Notes

  • Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic and red pepper flakes to your taste.
  • This dish can be made in under 30 minutes for a quick weeknight dinner.
