Creamy Chicken Pasta Casserole is a delightful comfort food that combines tender chicken, pasta, and a rich creamy sauce, all baked to perfection with a crispy cheese topping.

  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded)
  • 8 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or elbow macaroni)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup cooked spinach (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  3. In a large pan, heat heavy cream and chicken broth over medium heat. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until combined.
  4. Add the shredded chicken to the cream mixture and cook for 2-3 minutes. Stir in cooked pasta and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
  5. Pour the chicken pasta mixture into a greased casserole dish.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs, melted butter, and 1/2 cup of cheese for the topping. Sprinkle over the casserole.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is bubbly.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
