Fluffy, creamy, fruity and irresistibly romantic Cream Buns filled with whipped cream and topped with fresh berries.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup sunflower oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Fresh raspberries
  • Optional: edible flowers for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add yogurt, oil, egg, vanilla, and mix. Gradually add flour and salt. Knead until soft, elastic dough forms.
  3. Cover and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
  4. Divide dough into equal portions (about 8). Shape into balls and place on lined baking tray. Let rise 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake buns for 15–18 minutes until golden. Cool completely.
  6. Whip cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  7. Slice buns partially open. Fill with piped whipped cream. Top with fresh berries and edible flowers.
