1 lb ground beef
6 oz smoked sausage, sliced
½ cup diced onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chiles
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
2 cups beef broth
8 oz dry spaghetti
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives or parsley (optional)
Salt & pepper to taste
Optional: red pepper flakes for extra kick
Instructions
Brown the ground beef and sausage in a large pot over medium heat.
Add onions and garlic, cooking until fragrant.
Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth.
Break spaghetti in half and add to the pot. Simmer until pasta is tender.
Sprinkle cheese on top and let it melt. Garnish with chives or parsley.
Notes
Use a large pot to prevent overflow while simmering.
Adjust spice level with red pepper flakes if desired.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
