Ingredients
Scale
12 lasagna noodles (oven-ready or regular)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
Salt & black pepper to taste
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
3 cups marinara sauce
1/4 cup water or beef broth
1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
1 large egg
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
2 cups shredded mozzarella
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add beef, season with salt, pepper, paprika, Italian seasoning, and chili flakes. Cook until browned. Stir in marinara and water. Simmer for 10 minutes.
In a bowl, mix ricotta, egg, Parmesan, parsley, and a pinch of salt.
Spread a thin layer of sauce in a baking dish. Layer: noodles → ricotta mixture → meat sauce → mozzarella. Repeat layers (3–4 times), finishing with sauce and mozzarella on top.
Cover with foil and bake at 190°C / 375°F for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake another 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
